I’m Nathan Oxford, the founder of OXOLT Performance, and I understand the unique challenges faced by competitive masters swimmers. With a background in elite sports, including representing Great Britain and England in both swimming and powerlifting, I bring a wealth of experience to help you achieve success both in and out of the water. My journey includes breaking the British Junior Backstroke Record, winning the World Masters Swimming Championships, and securing gold at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships.
I’ve combined my competitive experience with a Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning (with distinction) to design science-backed training programs that are not just about lifting heavier weights, but about building holistic performance: from strength and conditioning, to nutrition, injury prevention, and mindset.

Nathan Oxford MSc
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
Nathan Oxford is a qualified strength and conditioning coach and elite athlete with a background in swimming and powerlifting. He’s broken the British Junior Record in backstroke swimming and won the World Masters Swimming Championships, setting a competition-best performance record.
Now competing in Powerlifting, Nathan represented England at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships, winning gold in bench press and placing 4th at the 2023 European Bench Press Championships, where he also broke the North Midlands Bench Press record (M1, 105kg category).
A Masters graduate (with distinction) in Strength and Conditioning, Nathan works with sports teams, including Swim England, delivering specialized strength programs at youth training camps.

John Rothery MSc
OSTEOPATH
John Rothery is a qualified osteopath in Lincolnshire, registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University and has recently completed a Masters degree in Physician Associate Studies. He has also successfully passed the National Physician Associate Examination at the Royal College of Physicians.
John previously worked as a Clinical Tutor on the Master’s in Osteopathy programme at Swansea University, where he helped train the next generation of osteopaths. He has further developed his musculoskeletal expertise through advanced postgraduate training, including upper and lower limb corticosteroid injection techniques at the University of Nottingham and an advanced ultrasound-guided injection course with SMUG in Leeds.
A dedicated endurance athlete, John is currently training to swim the English Channel in August as part of a relay team. His sporting achievements also include completing Ironman France and Ironman Spain, along with ultramarathons in Alaska and Jordan.

Robbie Blackman
PERFORMANCE NUTRITION
Robbie is a performance nutrition coach specialising in supporting swimmers and athletes to optimise energy, recovery, and body composition.
He holds a Level 4 qualification in Nutrition and has experience working with both amateur and professional athletes across endurance, sprint, and high-intensity sports.
Robbie applies evidence-based principles within real-world training and competition environments, helping athletes structure their nutrition to support performance, recovery, and consistency.
His work spans endurance, sprint, and high-intensity sports, with experience supporting athletes through structured nutrition phases including competition preparation and optimising body composition while maintaining performance.
Robbie has a particular interest in swim-specific nutrition and fuelling strategies that support consistent training, effective recovery, and performance on race day.
